This is a woodland scene that I created some years ago in acrylic. It is one of my favorites because I feel that the loose style works pretty well. Soon, I will post a more recent attempt to create a similar painting using a similar style.

Below is another painting done some years ago in oil. Both this painting and the one above are part of the permanent collection at Stone Lion Studio and hang in the general gallery during the winter months. The painting below was inspired by a work by the Hoosier artist John Elwood Bundy.

Here is another acrylic painting with a wider road going through the woods. This may well have been inspired by the tour route at Hayes Arboretum, in Richmond, Indiana. This painting hangs at the Stone Lion Studio.

I want to thank Bob Walker and all the artists and visitors at the fine arts venue at the Winterfest in Loudonville for making it a great event. It was a great weekend despite the rain and warmer temperatures that put a damper on the beautiful ice sculptures that were part of the festival.

Below are two more paintings, neither of which were shown at the Winterfest, but I wanted to add. If you want to see either of them in more detail, please click on them for an enlargement.

This painting is called "Gateway" and is done in acrylic. It is currently hanging at the Stone Lion Studio.

This painting is also done in acrylic and is called "Aussie Seascape". It is also part of the collection at Stone Lion Studio. Both of these paintings date back to the late 90s or early 2000s.
"Still life with Pineapple" was executed in oils in February of 1998. This painting also hangs at Stone Lion Studio.
