This season, out in New Mexico, I did a series of landscape paintings such as the one below. I guess it expresses kind of a feeling about New Mexico more than anything else. I am already looking forward to being back out there in a few months.

This painting is an impression of the view from the sandstone bluffs deep in the El Malpais National Monument, looking northwest to the Zuñi Mountains in the Cibola National Forest. This place is located about 20 miles south of Grants, NM, and is one of our favorite places to visit.
